Sophie Ashton and David Wiltshire won the Wally Scott Open Swiss Pairs Online at the VCC in December 2021. They beat a number of top Australian players including Sophie’s husband, Australian Champion Sartaj Hans. However, they actually lost this match to David Weston and Helena Dawson and after 2 rounds were coming 28th. As Sophie says “Try and keep the score out of your mind when playing bridge. Generally it never helps. Try and focus on doing normal things.”
