This year’s National Volunteer Week theme is ‘better together’. Volunteering at club, state, or national level is widespread and diverse with thousands of players volunteering every year. Bridge in Australia could not function without the loyalty and patronage of our wonderful volunteers. Our volunteers are vital to our success as they provide the foundation for us to build on. We would be lost without their dedication as volunteers help every day in every area and in every aspect. We could not afford to pay them what they are worth. Join me as we celebrate and recognise the vital work of volunteers of many kinds.
